Sweet And Sour Pork Stamp

Category: Flavors

I miss writing letters. And by letters I mean the lovingly handwritten, not the typewritten kind. You see, I find Yahoo, Hotmail, and recently, Gmail, to be responsible for the demise of that art, which now brings down correspondence to merely instant, spur of the moment activities. And we all so willingly adapted to that culture, which hardly leaves us the option of effort, exclusivity, sometimes privacy, even. And the chain emails -- I hate it! In fact it's even one of those that's partly responsible for sealing the fate of letter writing. Remember the stamp licker that resulted to roaches growing out of her tongue? Eew. Urban legend or not, the thought leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

However, sweet and sour pork shouldn't leave a bad taste, but rather, a funky taste in the mouth. Specially if it comes from the back a postage stamp. Just leave it to the Chinese to think of something useful and timely, to commemorate the Year Of The Pig. Who knows, it might even revive the snailmail from oblivion. But then, if I may, I only have one suggestion for them: Do a vegetarian version!
