Small Talk
One of the things I've found to be a necessary tool in the civilized world is the ability to make small talk. If you are in a situation where you are alone, not in the mood and just want to keep to yourself and you get stuck with someone who couldn't keep his/her mouth shut, it is but proper to respond even if only Hmmm that's out through your nose. After all, you may be face to face with a psycho having a really bad day and it just might save your life. Then again, if many small talk attempts elicit nothing but a blank stare from you, that may send them off scampering to the opposite direction because you may be the psycho having a really bad day, so it also works.
Then it is different when you want to blog something but couldn't because you will be staring at a blank page. A blank page is so dreadful and so you try to throw in a few words, see if it fits, delete and then try again, delete then try again, it is truly maddening! No, a million 'hmms' written down wouldn't make any sense. So okay, I'm having a tongue-tied moment and I tried to post and publish a blank page but blogger just won't do it. So I'm majorly PMSing, trying to end a really funky day and rapidly turning into a psycho. What happens? This, plus something really hare-brained.
