John Lennon, the genius, once said.
And I guess you could say the same of death.
We will never know what kind of plans he had back then but John Lennon surely did not plan on dying that day in December, 24 years ago.
It seems such a long time ago, and we will never know exactly how much more bereft the world is in losing Lennon, with his utopian fantasy of peace and a better world.
Mark Chapman , John Lennon's killer, claimed that voices in his head urged him to shoot. I wonder where those voices might have come from, and I could only make a guess.
Today, Chapman, with mental instabilities cleared and third application for parole rejected, feels that John Lennon would have wanted him to be set free. 'I think he would be liberal, I think he would care', Chapman said.
I really don't know whose voice he is hearing this time but for some reason, I believe him.
