Johnny, Johnny, Johnny

It wouldn't have been appropriate, if Johnny Depp, at some point in his growing up years , reverted back to 'John', as a Mikey reverts back to 'Mike', or a Katie, 'Kate', because there's something proprietary about saying 'Johnny', like one is saying Johnny, my baby, he's mine, oh yeah.

Johnny, in any movie, would always get me out to watch and I'm of a mindset that I would always come out of the movie satisfied, because long before he was a big star, I knew he was special, regardless of not being big in the way that any of the Brat Pack (these 80s spoiled brats Most Likely To Succeed or Rehab) was. Of course he was up there for me like Kiefer Sutherland with whom I was madly in love around the time that Julia Roberts was too.

And long after the last that I've heard of the beautiful Andrew McCarthy, my other 80s loved one, Johnny lives, these days as Box-Office Superstar and Capt. Jack Sparrow in another installment of Pirates Of The Carribean, which, incidentally is still one of the best Disney rides for me.

Should I care that all I remember of the movie is a menage of freaky looking pirates who were like walking oyster asylums, and others, complete aquatic ecosystems personified? Not really. If Johnny, as Jack, swaggered through the whole convoluted plot, slurring his lines while on serious rum head, channeling his gayest Keith Richards yet, it's no wonder he took that dip into the lusty mouth of the sea monster which may really be a nasty, overgrown, overly wanton female orifice, as fitting finale for him, for this epiode. See, it's a crazy movie and Johnny he is so good at what he does that the audience imbibed on the incoherence (and incohesiveness) of a drunken stupor which is likely a permanent state for Capt. Jack Sparrow, who, for a dude too much at sea and not used to seeing chicks, certainly knew how to kiss them, ahah. After all, the movie is a prequel to a sequel, anything goes. And then, I wouldn't mind waiting till the next 'Pirates' come around to see if it gets even more drunken, or sober, I don't care, I mean, it's all about Johnny any way. And around here, he's mine...
