Anonymous
Anonymous is an abused pseudonym, the safety net for clandestine operators, the cop out identity for the doer of things that should be given a second (or third, or fourth) thought before its doing, and the sender of some text message I received this morning that I did not particularly expect.
The message implies of something illicitly happening right under my married sister's nose. I realize I have just been made privy to some woeful affair of her husband that I shouldn't or do not care to know anything about. So what to do with the info?
I must admit that I'm upset. And this, due to some unverified info from a cellphone whose owner I did not even know exists until it was made known to me by a single stroke of SEND.
Anonymous is an abused pseudonym, the bearer of bad news, a name that's definitely not on my list of contacts, and someone I shall not give the power to agitate my life this morning. And anonymous can do well to find the right number to call, which does not happen to be mine.
What to do now? Simple. After all, I only answer to people with names, and technology is such that one can do innumerable, immeasurable things, for good or for bad, that can easily be forgotten in one single stroke. DELETE.
Done.
